First off, the Warriors series was created by Erin Hunter. It is a book series that follows four groups of cats, Thunderclan, Windclan, Riverclan, and Shadowclan. You meet these cats at the very beginning of the clans and follow them through their long journeys and hard ships. Warriors has many parts to it which can be confusing for those who have not read the books.

Now for the code that the clans live by. This code is called the Warrior Code. It is a set of rules that all of the clans or cats in the books and roleplays must follow. If they do not follow these rules, they have a chance of being punished by those who are in charge of their clan or the leader. All of the cats in the clans learn this code at some point and are expected to follow it.
Warrior Code:
1. Defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life. You may have friendships with cats from other clans, but your loyalty must remain with your clan, as one day you may meet them in battle.
2. Do not hunt, or trespass in other Clan's territory
3. Elders and kits must be fed before apprentices and warriors. Unless they have permission, apprentices may not eat until they have hunted and fed the elders.
4. Prey is killed only to be eaten. Thanks Starclan for its life.
5. A kit must be at least six moons old to become an apprentice.
6. Newly appointed warriors will keep vigil for one night after receiving their warrior name.
7. A cat can not become deputy without having at least mentored one apprentice.
8. The deputy will become the clan leader when the leader dies of retires
9. After the death of retirement of a deputy, a new deputy must be chosen.
10. A gathering of all 4 clans is held at the full moon during a truce that lasts for the night.
11.Boundaries must be checked and marked daily. Challenge all trespassing cats.
12. No warrior may neglect a kit in pain or in danger, even if that kit is from a different clan.
13. The word of the clan leader is the warrior code.
14. An honorable warrior does not need to kill other cats to win his battles, unless they are outside the warrior code or it is necessary for self-defense.
15. A warrior rejects the soft life of a kittypet.
There is a separate part of the code that is just for the Medicine Cats who have to follow along with the Warrior Code unless stated otherwise.
Medicine Cat Code:
1. Medicine Cats are allowed to cross territories.
2. Medicine Cats can't have a mate,or kits.
3. Medicine Cats may cross territories to help another Clan.
4. Medicine Cats must learn battle moves.
5. Medicine Cats must do everything they can to help a cat or kit in need.

Now onto Ceremonies. Ceremonies are an important part of Clan life, they are what every cat dreams of going through. Like we all graduate from High School, College or University to represent our hard work and show our journey from childhood to adulthood, the Clan cats have Warrior and other ceremonies to show how they have grown. These are taken very seriously and are a great honor. Below is a list of all the types of Clan ceremonies.
Apprentice Ceremony:
When a Kit reaches six moons of age, they are ready to become an Apprentice. This ceremony is done in a Clan meeting lead by the Clan Leader. In this ceremony the Kit is given their new Apprentice name where they lose the 'kit' suffix of their name and given 'paw' instead. The Clan Leader also chooses a experienced warrior to be the Apprentices mentor.
Leader:
"[Kit's name], you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as [new Apprentice name, ending with 'paw']. I ask StarClan to watch over you and guide you until you find in your paws the strength and courage of a warrior."
The Leader then signals for the chosen mentor to step forward.
Leader:
"[Chosen mentor name], you are ready to take on an apprentice. You had received excellent training from [former mentor's names], and you have shown yourself to be fierce and brave. You will be the mentor of [Apprentice's name], and I expect you to pass on all you know to [Apprentice's name]."
The mentor touches noses with the Apprentice, and the Clan greets the new Apprentice by calling out their name in a chant. The Apprentice will usually greet their family, or go see to their mentor, who congratulate them.
New Mentor Ceremony:
When an Apprentice's mentor can no longer fulfill their responsibilities because they are injured, or even died, a new mentor needs to be assigned. This is done in a Clan meeting by the Clan Leader who chooses a new mentor.
If the old mentor has only minor injuries or is traveling away from the Clan and will return, the Apprentice will be given a temporary mentor until they are fit to be the mentor again, this does not require a ceremony.
Leader:
"I call upon my Warrior ancestors to give this Apprentice a new mentor. [Apprentice's name], you have lost your mentor, so your new mentor will be [Chosen new mentor's name]."
The mentor touches noses with the Apprentice, and the Clan greets the new mentor by calling out their name in a chant.
Warrior Ceremony:
Once an Apprentice has received around six or more moons training from their mentor, they may be ready to become a Warrior. When the Apprentice's mentor is happy with the Apprentice's progress they will consult the Clan Leader and tell them they think they are ready.
The Apprentice will then have to perform a final assessment (usually a hunting test) where they are watched over by their current mentor to see if they are truly ready.
In some cases the Clan Leader may decide an assessment isn't needed, usually because of a special achievement that showed that they were ready. Examples would be saving Kits, or fighting courageously in a battle.
When an Apprentice passes their assignment or is chosen to be given their Warrior name without one and the Clan Leader and mentor are completely satisfied they are ready, they will be given their Warrior's name in a special ceremony, this ceremony is done in a Clan meeting lead by the Clan Leader.
Leader:
"I, [Leader's name], leader of [Clan name], call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this Apprentice. [He/She] has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend [him/her] to you as a Warrior in [his/her] turn."
Leader:
"[Apprentice's name], do you promise to uphold the Warrior Code and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?"
Apprentice:
"I do."
Leader:
"Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your Warrior name. [Apprentice's name], from this moment you will be known as [New Warrior name changing the 'paw' suffix to another of the Leader's choosing]. StarClan honors your [Virtues that describe the new Warrior], and we welcome you as a full warrior of [Clan name]." The leader then rests their muzzle on the new Warrior's head, and they lick the leader's shoulder in return. The rest of the Clan then greets the new warrior by calling their new Warrior name in a chant. They will usually greet their family, or go see to their former mentor, who congratulate them.
The Warrior will sit a silent vigil guarding the camp that night. However in some cases this isn't possible, in cases such as being out of the camp. They may still sit a silent vigil outside or camp or may be told to do something else instead.
Dying Apprentice Ceremony:
Sometimes tragedy can come upon an Apprentice, where they are striped of the chance to become a full Warrior in an accident.
If an Apprentice is dying or is injured and unable to become a full Warrior, the Clan Leader can perform a special ceremony where they give them their Warrior's name even though they will never truly live as one. This gives the Apprentice spirit of the Warrior they could have been and if they are dying means they can join StarClan as a Warrior.
This ceremony isn't usually done in a Clan meeting, it is done by the Clan Leader who will usually visit the Apprentice in the Medicine Cat den.
Leader:
"I ask my Warrior ancestors to look down on this Apprentice. [He/She] has learned the Warrior code and given up [his/her] life in the service of [his/her] Clan. Let StarClan receive [him/her] as a Warrior. [He/She] will be known as [New Warrior name]."
Medicine Cat Apprentice Ceremony:
When a Kit reaches six moons of age, they are ready to become an Apprentice, or in certain cases they may be chosen as the Medicine Cat Apprentice. This ceremony is done in a Clan meeting called by the Clan Leader when the Clan Medicine Cat says they would like to take on an Apprentice, it is lead by the Medicine Cat and Clan Leader. In this ceremony the Kit is given their new Medicine Cat Apprentice name where they lose the 'kit' suffix of their name and given 'paw' instead. The Clan Leader also names the current Medicine Cat as their mentor.
Medicine Cat:
"Cats of [Clan Name], as you know, I will not be around forever. So it's time I took an Apprentice. I have chosen a cat who has shown [Virtues that describe the chosen cat]. Your next medicine cat will be [Chosen cat's name]."
Leader:
"[Chosen cat's name], do you accept the post of Apprentice to [Medicine Cat's name]?"
Apprentice:
"I do."
Medicine Cat:
"Then at the half-moon, you must travel to the [Moonstone/Moonpool] to be accepted by StarClan before the other Medicine Cats."
Leader:
"The good wishes of all [Clan Name] will go with you."
The mentor touches noses with the Apprentice, and the Clan greets the new Apprentice by calling out their name in a chant. The Apprentice will usually greet their family, or go see to their mentor, who congratulate them.
At the Moonstone/pool
At the next half moon after the Clan ceremony, the Medicine Cat goes with the Apprentice to the Clans' sacred place to present him or her to the Warrior ancestors, where the Apprentice confirms that they wish to be a medicine cat.
Medicine Cat:
"[Medicine Apprentice's name], is it your wish to enter the mysteries of StarClan as a medicine cat?"
Apprentice:
"It is."
Medicine Cat:
"Then come forward."
Medicine Cat:
"Warriors of StarClan, I present you with this Apprentice. [He/She] has chosen the path of a Medicine Cat. Grant [him/her] your wisdom and insight so that [he/she] may understand your ways and heal [his/her] Clan in accordance with your will."
The Medicine Cat and the Apprentice then lay down and have a dream from StarClan.
Medicine Cat Ceremony:
Medicine Cat Apprentice usually remain Apprentices for longer than that of a normal Apprentice, mainly because of the vast amount they must learn about herbs and healing as well as interpreting signs from StarClan.
When the Clan Medicine Cat feels that their Apprentice has learned the ways of a Medicine Cat well and is happy with their medical knowledge they will take them to the Clans' sacred place (Moonstone/Moonpool where they will perform a ceremony in front of the other Medicine Cats and give the Apprentice their full Medicine Cat name. This is the only ceremony done without the Clan Leader.
Receiving the name of a full Medicine Cat does not make them a true Medicine Cat however, it shows that they are ready to become the Clan's Medicine Cat but they will remain the Apprentice of the current Medicine Cat until they retire / die or cannot continue as a Medicine Cat for another reason.
Medicine Cat:
"I, [Medicine cat's name], medicine cat of [Clan name], call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this Apprentice. [He/She] has trained hard to understand the ways of a Medicine Cat, and with your help [he/she] will serve [his/her] Clan for many moons."
Medicine Cat:
"[Medicine Apprentice's name], do you promise to uphold the ways of a Medicine Cat, to stand apart from rivalry between Clan and Clan and to protect all cats equally, even at the cost of your life?"
Apprentice:
"I do."
Medicine Cat:
"Then by the powers of StarClan I give you your true name as a Medicine Cat. [Medicine Apprentice's name], from this moment you will be known as [New Medicine Cat name]. StarClan honors your [Virtues that describe the cat], and we welcome you as a full medicine cat of [Clan name]."
The medicine cat rests his or her muzzle on the Apprentice's head, and they licks the mentor's shoulder. The other medicine cats greet him or her by calling out their new name in a chant, and congratulate them, before all the Medicine Cats lie down to share tongues with StarClan.
Deputy Ceremony:
When the current Deputy dies, retires, promoted to Leader or unable to be Deputy for any other reason, a new Deputy must be chosen. The Deputy must be named before moonhigh of the same day as mentioned in the Warrior Code.
Once the Leader has decided on the new Deputy they will call a Clan meeting and perform a ceremony naming the new Deputy in front of the Clan.
Leader:
"I say these words before StarClan, that the [spirits of our Warrior ancestors / spirit of [previous Deputy's name]] may hear and approve of my choice. The new Deputy of [Clan name] is [Chosen Warrior's name]."
The new Deputy will acknowledge his Leaders decision and the Clan will call out the Deputy's name in a chant. They will usually meet their Clan mates who congratulate them.
Leader Ceremony:
A Leader ceremony is very different to the others. Their is no one above them to perform a ceremony in the Clan, so they travel to the Clan's sacred place (moonstone/moonpool) to be accepted by StarClan.
After the previous Leader dies, retires or can no longer be Leader for another reason, the current Deputy travels to share tongues with StarClan to receive their nine lives and their Leader name.
When the new Leader touches the moonstone or moonpool they cannot move for a short period of time, because their old life is being ripped away so they can receive nine new ones. When they wake, cats of StarClan come down from Silverpelt. Nine cats in total, usually cats who were an important part of the new Leader's life, come and each give one life.
The new Leader is greeted and then begin to give them their nine new lives. Each life has a gift and means something, such as a life for courage or love.
Each Life-Giver (repeated nine times):
The touch their nose to the top of the new leader's head
"With this life I give you [gift - such as - [courage]]. Use it well [how to use the gift - such as - [to protect your Clan]].
The new Leader will then have a strong feeling which may be a pain or a warmth depending on what the gift was.
Once all the nine lives have been given the previous Leader (If the last Leader is not dead, then the previous one before them) steps forward.
Previous Leader:
"I hail you by your new name, [New name removing the old Warrior suffix and changing it with 'star'] Your old life is no more. You have now received the nine lives of a Leader, and StarClan grants you the guardianship of [Clan name]. Defend it well; care for young and old; honor your ancestors and the traditions of the Warrior Code; live each life with pride and dignity."
The vision will then fade and the new Leader will make next to the moonstone or moonpool, and return to their Clan as a true Leader.
Elder Ceremony:
When an aging Warrior, Queen, Medicine Cat, Deputy supposedly even a Clan Leader (although this has never been known to happen) feels they are unable to perform their duties any longer they have the choice to join the Clan Elders. They consult the Clan Leader, who respecting their wishes usually with regret calls a Clan meeting to announce it to the Clan.
In some cases a cat may retire to the Elders den because of an injury which stopped them from continuing their duties. In this case their is no ceremony.
Leader:
"[New Elder's name], is it your wish to give up the name of a [Warrior or Medicine Cat] and go to join the elders?"
New Elder:
"It is."
Leader:
"Your Clan honors you and all the service you have given to us. I call upon StarClan to give you many moons of rest."
The Clan then call the Elder's name in a chant and give their thanks for their service.
Name Change Ceremony:
In rare cases a cat may change their name. If the Clan Leader feels their name no longer fits them, they can change it in a special ceremony. This usually may occur after an accident, common examples being the loss of part of a cat's tail or an eye which would result in a new name such as Halftail or Oneeye.
The Clan leader will Call a Clan meeting and perform a ceremony giving the cat their new name.
Leader:
"Spirits of StarClan, you know every cat by name. I ask you now to take away the name from the cat you see before you, for it no longer stands for what [he/she] is. By my authority as Clan Leader, and with the approval of our Warrior ancestors, I give this cat a new name. From this moment on [he/she] will be known as [New chosen name], for [Description for why the name is being changed]."
The Clan will then call the cat's new name in a chant.
The mentor touches noses with the Apprentice, and the Clan greets the new Apprentice by calling out their name in a chant. The Apprentice will usually greet their family, or go see to their mentor, who congratulate them.

The mentor touches noses with the Apprentice, and the Clan greets the new mentor by calling out their name in a chant.

Okay, now for hunting techniques
Hunting Techniques:
Hunter's Crouch - Keep your body low with your tail sticking straight ahead. Hind legs must be ready to leap and front paws must be ready to pounce. Is also a good fighting technique.
Fishing Catch - When fishing in a lake or river.keep your reflection away from the water. When the fish comes, quickly hook your paw into the water and scoop the fish onto the surface. Finish it off with a quick killing bit.
Squirrel Race - When the squirrel runs up a tree to escape, you quickly run up the trunk beside the squirrel until your fast enough to block it to the top of the tree. You chase it down next and hopefully catch it. Very complicated technique.
Bird Leap - When the bird is aware that it is being hunted and begins to fly up, you leap as high as you can and bat the bird back down. Recommended for older apprentices to learn.
Mouse Stalker - Keep your pawsteps light on the ground and try to slide them so the mouse won't feel your pawsteps.
Rabbit Fishing - A technique when you are desperate for prey. Find a rabbit hole and make sure a rabbit's in there. Then, wait silently until rabbit's head pops out. Scoop it out like you are fishing, and hopefully catch it.

There is another guide on fighting but here is a list of tactics and moves.
Battle Moves:
Back kick - Explosive surprise more to catch opponent from Behind. Judge opponents distances from you carefully, then lash out with you back legs, taking the weight on your front paws.
Back rake - A bit like Belly rake, if your a SkyClan cat this move works best. If your fighting a cat from the front, jump over the cats head and score your claws down their back.
Belly rake - A fight stopper. Slice with unsheathed claws across soft flesh of opponents belly. If your pinned down, the belly rake quickly puts you back in control.
Double death bite - Seems dishonorable and is only used against very evil cats. A partner and you take on one cat. Once you've got a hold of your opponent, your partner helps hold down enemy cat, and you both bite hard down on enemy cat's throat. Two pairs of jaws will cut off airway and cat will choke to death. Like I said, it's considered dishonorable and would only be used against evil cats like Tigerstar.
Dizzy dance - Only can be preformed by a extremely small and quick cat against a larger and at least somewhat slower cat. The cat charges head on then swiftly leaped sideways, ducking under the cat then as soon as the cat preforming this attack is out from under the other cat it spins and leaps over it. Then once More spins but rams the side then jumps over/goes under the cat and rams the other side then land one final blow by leaping onto the cat's back and grabbing the scruff with teeth and using your free paws to batter the cat's head. This attack should in the end result in a dizzy or confused enemy.
Dizzy tackle - A great move for swift young warriors facing older, larger warriors. You run in circles around them at top speed until their to dizzy or tired (if the were chasing you) to keep up. Then you tackle them. While they are down, attack. Caution, standing directly over them makes you vulnerable to the Belly Rake. This is a One-on-one move and is not recommended in a place with many foes.
Front paw blow - Frontal Attack. Bring your front paws down hard on you opponents head, claws unsheathed.
Front paw strike - Frontal attack. Slice downward with your front paw at the body or face of your opponent. Claws unsheathed.
Killing bite - A death blow to the back of the neck. Quick and silent and sometimes considered dishonorable. Used only as a last resort.
Leap and hold - Ideal for a small cat facing a large opponent. Spring onto the opponents back and grip with unsheathed claws. Now you are beyond the range of your opponent paws and in the position to inflict severe body wounds. A group of apprentices can defeat a large and dangerous warrior in this way.
Leap-and-cover - Ideal for making your opponent feel much pain, leap onto your opponent's back and put your paws over their eyes. For the moment the opponent is blinded, sink your claws into the soft skin around their eyes. If your opponent doesn't run away, take advantage of their temporary blindness and perform leap-and-hold move.
Making sure - You never know if a opponent is actually dead. When an opponent goes limp, they become vunerable, so make sure they are really dead. Bite and slash. Claws unsheathed. When you think they have gone to StarClan, pray and leave.
Partner fighting - Warriors who have trained and fought together will often instinctively fall into a paired defensive position, each protecting the others back while fending off an opponent o either side. Slashing, clawing, and leaping together, battle pairs can be whirlwind of danger for attackers.
Play dead - Effective in a tight situation, such as when you are pinned. Stop struggling and go limp. When your opponent relaxed his grip, thinking you are defeated, push yourself up explosively. This will throw off an unwary opponent and you are in the attacking position.
Scruff shake - Secure a strong teeth grip in the scuff of your opponents neck, then shake violently until he or she is to rattled to fight back. Most effective against rats, which are small enough to throw. A strong throw will stun or kill them.
Tail trip - The opponent moves to you and at the right moment, trip them with your tail.
Teeth grip - Target your opponents extremists- the legs, tail, scuff, or ears- ans sink in your teeth and hold. This move is similar to the leap and hold, except your claws remain free to fight.
Unbalancing act - If a cat is going to bring down all its weight on you while rearing on its back legs, role towards your opponents hind legs to unbalance him.
Upright lock - Finial, crushing more on already weakened opponent. Rear up on your back legs and bring full weight on your opponent. If opponent does the same, wrestle and flip him under you. This move makes you vulnerable to the belly rake, so requires great strength and speed.
Battle Tactics:
Approach from behind your enemy - The advantage is gaining the higher ground is that you can charge at greater speed at the enemy, who will be weakened by having to fight uphill.
Use the light from the sun - The sun should be behind you to dazzle your Use the light from the sun enemy. In green leaf, the midday sun is especially bright and cruel to cats who are used to sulking under the cover of the trees. In leaf bare, the low sun hovers around the eye line like a troublesome bee, keep your enemy from facing it, and they'll have trouble seeing an attacker from any direction.
Know were the wind is coming from - If there is a strong wind, it should be blow from behind you toward the enemy, blinding them with dust and holding them back like a current of a river. If you wish to preserve the element of surprise, the wind should blow from the enemy position toward you so your scent is carried away from them.
Conceal the size of your force - The number of cats in your battle patrols can be hidden to confuse the enemy from a distance. Cats packed tightly together will appear as a small attacking force, encouraging the enemy to be over confidant and make poor strategic decisions. Alternatively, is cats are spread out in signal file, they will look like a solid border of warriors, which will seem impenetrable to an advancing enemy.
Attack from both ends of the Enemy first - If both ends of the enemy line are defeated, the cats in the center of the line will have to fight the two fronts. Even if they are outnumbered, the will be out flanked, vulnerable, and in disarray.
Keep fresh warriors in reserve - Always have adequate reserves of fresh, fit warriors behind the battle line. They will be able to replace injured warriors, launch a separate attack if the enemy tries to encircle your forces, or fend off a surprise enemy from the rear. If the battle is in your favor, finish it by sending your reserve warriors behind the enemy line to surround them and demand surrender.
Feigned retreat and ambush - A group of strong cats charges at the enemy, screeching, then turns and withdraws. Repeat this until the infuriated enemy finally breaks it's line and gives chase. Then the trap is sprung. Other warriors positioned in rabbit holes and other dips in the ground-out of enemy eyes line- attack as soon as your opponents have gone past. The enemy will be forced to stop and turn around to fight the unexpected threat, as they do the retreating cats must turn and charge back at them with full speed. The enemy is caught between two bodies of attacking cats and will quickly surrender.
Water Combat:
Double-Front-Paw - Splashes water into the face of the enemy.
Underwater Leg Sweep (Front of Hind) - The opponent will not see it coming under the water so won’t have a chance to brace himself before losing his balance.
Push-Down and Release - Almost all non-XeoClan cats panic if they are submerged, while XeoClan cats know how to hold their breath underwater. This move can be used to secure a decisive victory, because it’s most likely to make the opponent surrender.
Underwater Clinch - Uses warrior’s weight to hold the opponent below the surface, with a firm grip that enables the warrior to bring his enemy spluttering back to the surface before forcing him under again.
Tail Splash - Temporarily blinds opponent by flicking water in his eyes.
Underwater Push-Off - Crouching and erupting out of the water into opponents, using surprise and impact to knock him off balance.
Sandpaw Splash - Using noise of water splashed at a distance to create a decoy, leaving opportunity for a surprise attack.
Above-Ground Combat:
The Sky-Crusher - Landing with all four feet on top of an opponent, flattening him like a leaf.
The Flick-Over - Landing with front paws outstretched to sweep the opponent off his feet and roll him onto his back.
The Kick - Kicking down hard as the warrior nears the ground, then using momentum from landing to spring away before the opponent can retaliate.
The Slice - Dropping down with claws unsheathed for maximum injury.
The Branch Swing - Holding on to the branch with front claws and swinging hind legs into the opponent’s face.
The Reverse Branch Swing - Holding on to the branch with back claws and striking with front legs through the swing.
The Trunk Swing - Sliding down the trunk and springing off at head height, using hind legs to push off and clear opponents. (Good if tree is surrounded.)
The Reverse Climb - Climbing backward up the trunk as the opponent advances to gain advantage of height; often followed by Trunk Swing.
